Learn to care for America's National Flower at Free Rose Pruning Workshop on May 5, 2018
Are you stumped about how to prune roses? Learn how to safely and properly care for roses by joining us for a free rose pruning workshop led by our professional horticulture team, along with area master gardeners and members of the Denver Rose Society.
The hands-on training event is Sat., May 5, 2018 from 8 am - 12 pm at South Suburban's War Memorial Rose Garden, 5804 S. Bemis St., in Littleton, across the street from Sterne Park. The garden features more than 1800 varieties of roses. What better place to learn how to care for our national flower?
All you'll need to bring is a sharp pair of bypass pruning shears and leather gloves. A limited number of shears will be available to borrow. Knee pads are helpful. Light refreshments will be served as well as an opportunity to win gardening-themed door prizes. In case of inclement weather, the alternate date will be Sat., May 12.
If you plan to volunteer, please contact Vanessa Greenhouse at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 303.721.8478, ext. 68480. We want to be sure to have enough refreshments for everyone.
