Lone Tree Recreation Center

Nestled against Bluffs Regional Park and right off of I-25 and Lincoln, the Lone Tree Recreation Center is the perfect escape from your busy life. Swim, lift, run, bike, play or just relax. Take a break from your stress and strengthen your body, mind and spirit as you discover what you truly enjoy.

Recreation Center Safe Return

The Lone Tree Recreation Center will open June 1 consistent with the CDPHE approved Douglas County variance.  SSPRD is committed to meeting and exceeding all government mandates to minimize the spread of COVID-19 for both participants and staff.

Buck, Goodson and Sheridan Recreation Centers are anticipated to open mid-June and are awaiting local county or state orders.  

The Lone Tree Recreation Center will open with the following Phase I guidelines:

  • The center is open for general workouts by reservation only, available 24 hours in advance online here.  Available equipment includes cardiovascular machines, free weight equipment and circuit equipment only.  Capacities are limited to ensure a minimum of 120 square feet per person.   • The following are not available:  pools, hot tubs, gymnasium for sport activities, racquetball courts, showers, lockers, locker rooms for changing, drop-in childcare, Pickleball and drop-in fitness classes.
  • All guests are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times.  Guests should carefully monitor intensity levels and take breaks as needed.
  • All guests must come workout ready which means dressed to participate with a filled water bottle.  Fountains will be limited to bottle fillers only.
  • All guests must maintain six feet of distance from others in the facility.  Equipment will be spaced out and some equipment will be unavailable to meet this requirement.
  • No cash will be allowed. Credit/debit cards for daily drop-in payment and admission punches will accepted.
  • Monthly and annual passes will not immediately be activated, unless at the user request.  All other passes (SilverSneakers, RenewActive, Silver&Fit) and punches will immediately be available for use, including daily admission purchases.
  • Anyone who is sick or has symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home.
  • Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
  • Guests who fail to follow guidelines and staff direction may be asked to leave and refunds will not be issued.
  • Enhanced disinfection practices and staff screening processes will be implemented by SSPRD.

Daily admission and passes include use of the pool, gym, weight room, cardio and circuit equipment, track, racquetball courts, and drop-in fitness classes. Specialty programs and services (e.g. martial arts, personal training, dance classes, swim lessons) are available for an additional fee.

To receive Resident rates, you must have a valid South Suburban ID card.
Household consists of two adults and three children up to the ages of 17 living at home.  Additional child options are available for additional fees.

*Monthly passes require auto-debit sign-up, this may be canceled at any point with 30 days written notice.  Two month minimum required.

**Annual passes may be paid in full or auto-debited over the course of three consecutive monthly payments.  Annual passes from Goodson, Buck and Lone Tree are the only passes valid at SSPRD outdoor pools.

Aquatics area

Whether you're looking to get in a few laps, take an aquatics fitness class, relax in the hot tub, or have fun with the kids, Lone Tree Recreation Center is the perfect place – no matter the conditions outside. The indoor pool area features:

  • Leisure pool with lazy river
  • Spray features
  • Zero-depth entry children's area

Children 5 and under must be accompanied by a guardian (age 16+) in the water at all times.

Children 6-9 must be actively observed by a guardian (age 16+) unless they are a “non-swimmer” in which they need to be accompanied by a guardian in the water at all times.

Pickleball Drop-in

  • Tuesday (Int./Adv.), Thursday (Beg/Int.), Friday (Int./Adv.): 12:30-3:30pm
  • Sunday (Beg./Int.): 3-6pm

*Open Gym available for basketball, soccer and/or Pickleball on a first come, first serve basis.  Call ahead for volleyball and/or Pickleball which require set-up, accommodated on a staff available basis.

No school? No worries! We offer a variety of specialty camps and full-day camps during summer, fall, winter and spring breaks and during most holidays and in-service days.


Bring your child to explore, learn and grow in our state licensed preschool offering pre-kindergarten and preschool aged classes. Emphasis on socialization, verbal and listening skills, math, reading, and physical development. 

Drop-in babysitting

Pay by the hour or purchase a multi-hour punch card or a pass. We have the child care option customized for your needs while you are in the center. Ages 3 months - 9 years.
