Have you heard of Pickleball? This badminton/tennis/table tennis-like sport is the fastest growing sport in South Suburban. This fun and social game is perfect for all ages, easy to learn and provides a great physical workout. Want to join in? Explore our Pickleball offerings below.


Boot Camps
Go from newbie to expert over the course of four training sessions. This camp is for beginner and intermediate players ages 18 and up.  Learn to play Pickleball, get a great workout and have fun.

Geared towards beginners, these one-time, 2-hour sessions are for adults ages 18 and up. Come learn the basics of the sport while meeting new friends.

Hocus Pocus Doubles Tournament

Saturday, October 10 (Men's & Women's) and Sunday, October 11 (Mixed) at Cornerstone Park, 5150 S Windermere St., Littleton, CO 80120.

Registration fee is $4 and each event is $23. Men's, Women's, and Mixed divisions are offered (2 players/team). Depending on number of teams registered, this could be either a double-elimination or round robin format.

We offer recreational and competitive levels of play. Use the Skill Rating Guide as a reference to what division your team should register for. Standard IFP rules apply (

Teams make their own calls (line judges will not be provided). Teams are guaranteed at least 2 matches. Winner bracket matches will be best 2-out-of-3 games to 11 (win by 2). Loser bracket matches will consist of one game played to 15 (win by 2). Awards will be given to the champions in each division. Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 30.

Outdoor Courts

Cornerstone Park Pickleball Courts

Come check out our outdoor Pickleball courts at Cornerstone Park!  The six outdoor courts are located at the SE corner of the park with the entrance to the parking lot located off of South Hickory Street.  The Pickleball courts feature:

  • 6 outdoor courts with permanent nets
  • Push-button operated lighting at night (spring Daylight Savings until fall Daylight Savings)
  • Shelter with seating & tables
  • Senior Shelter with restrooms nearby
  • Horseshoes, shuffle board, inline hockey rink, and skate park nearby

  • Cost per court:
    • $10/hr (district residents with up-to-date SSPR ID cards) - Non-Prime Time
    • $12/hr (non-residents) - Non-Prime Time
    • $20/hr (district residents with up-to-date SSPR ID cards) - Prime Time (May through September, 7:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. & 4:00-8:00 p.m.)
    • $30/hr (non-residents) - Prime Time (May through September, 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 4:00-8:00 p.m.)
  • A 48 hour notice is required, for maintenance and scheduling purposes. 


Other Outdoor Courts within the District

Players must bring their own portable net(s), paddles, and balls to play. Tennis courts are lined as such, and do not have Pickleball lines.

Private Lessons

Private and Semi-Private Lessons

South Suburban Parks and Recreation offers private (1 person) and semi-private (2-4 persons) lessons at the Cornerstone Park Outdoor Pickleball Courts. Each session is one-hour long. Rates for lessons are as follows:

 Private Lessons (1 person) Semi-Private Lessons (2-4 persons) 
 1 session - $30 (district) / $33 (non-district)  1 session - $20 per person (district) / $23 per person (non-district)
 3 sessions - $81 (district) / $90 (non-district)  3 sessions - $51 per person (district) / $60 per person (non-district)
5 sessions - $125 (district) / $140 (non-district)  5 sessions - $75 per person (district) / $90 per person (non-district) 

All lessons must be paid in full prior to scheduling. The Pickleball coordinator will contact you to schedule an instructor and date/time that works for you. To inquire about private or semi-private lessons, contact the Athletics Office at 303-798-7515.

Indoor Drop-in Pickleball

Already know the game or want to learn with other players? Come play during our drop-in Pickleball times at our recreation centers in Centennial, Littleton, Lone Tree, and Sheridan.
